After diving in Malapascua and Moalboal way back 2012 and 2015 respectively, it’s about time we dive in Mactan in 2017. Aside from celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary, Ling is also marking his 200th dive in Mactan.
Our round-trip plane tickets were given by my bro as a birthday gift. With that settled, the hardest part was finding the perfect dive resort. It was coincidence that led me to Anemone Beach Resort. I was inquiring with a local dive shop but since they don’t have their own accommodation, I asked for (nearest) resort recommendations. When I checked the Anemone Beach Resort’s website, seeing the photo of the pool overlooking the beach was my this-is-it moment. And did I say they have their own dive shop as well? Talk about hitting two birds with one stone.
If booking directly, a standard room with balcony costs P1,400/night for 2 pax. It has its own bathroom, aircon and hot shower. Dive rate for locals/Filipinos are given 40% discount. Our 6 dives cost P7,800/pax. Bring your own dive equipment to lessen additional cost.
Allotted two days for diving. Our vacay’s mantra was sleep-eat-dive-chill-repeat. With the resort’s to-die-for view, I just lounged by the pool to my heart’s content. Didn’t hurt that Ling was also snapping pics left and right.

About Mona
Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
