Mactan, Cebu: 7th Anniv Dive

Two milestones celebrated in one dive trip: our 7th wedding anniversary and Ling’s 200th dive. We have long checked off diving in Malapascua and Moalboal in Cebu way back 2012 and 2015 respectively. In 2017, it’s about time to dive in Mactan.

Got our round-trip plane tickets from my bro as a birthday gift. Booked our stay with Anemone Beach Resort. Upon seeing the resort’s website, there was no question we’ll be booking our stay there. I instantly fell in love with the beachfront view. Conveniently, the resort also has its own dive shop within its premises, just a few steps away from our room.

If booking directly, a standard room with balcony costs P1,400/night for 2 pax. It has its own bathroom, aircon and hot shower. Dive rate for locals/Filipinos are given 40% discount. Our 6 dives cost P7,800/pax. Bring your own dive equipment to lessen additional cost.

Our two diving days were spot-on macro. Explored 5 dive sites around Mactan area: Tambuli, Climaco, Agos, Enggaño and Pelaez Point. Visibility during our first diving day was nicer compared to the second. Unusual nudis, headshield slugs and shrimps abound. The highlight of our dives was seeing two nudis with just one rhinopore. Glad to see the rhinopore in one nudi regrowing.
