San Luis, Batangas: 2017 Christmas and Year-end Dive

Ending 2017 5 dives shy from my 300th. Compared to the previous year’s 45 dives logged, 2017’s 8 dive trips still made the year more memorable.

This year, Ling and I had our top 3 must-dive destinations: Apo Reef in Occidental Mindoro, Mactan in Cebu and lastly, Davao. We were able to dive in Mactan and Davao. We also planned diving in Apo Reef but bad weather cancelled our trip. =( Hopefully, we could check it off our bucket list in 2018.

Spent our pre-Christmas and year-end dive in Seasport Park and Dive Resort with our PADI/CMAS dive instructor, Allan Lao. After 2 house reef dives, Ling and I are concluding 2017 with a total of 27 dives logged.

I enjoyed taking snaps of crabs living in the corals. I spotted various kinds but I loved the furry crab the most. It wasn’t surprising to see pink-eyed gobies as well. The resort’s house reef abound with these cuties. The highlight of our 2 dives was seeing the white trapania-like nudibranch Ling spotted. He really is getting good at it. ;P
