Going to Phillip’s Sanctuary in Antipolo, Rizal was just the perfect trip to jumpstart my birth month and yes, a change of scenery for our daughter who has been busy with online class. We booked a cabin worth P3,100 good for three pax. It has a loft that our daughter liked so it was a decent enough deal. And did I mention the overlooking balcony view? It was just the break we need from our work-from-home setup. For aircon use from 6pm to 5am, just pay additional P500.
We checked-in early so we can explore the farm longer. We took our time walking amid the lush greenery and oh so fresh air. The mahogany trees lining the path were simply picturesque. We saw several ostriches, chickens, a turkey, various species of ducks, a horse and a flock of sheep. The kiddo also enjoyed seeing the fruit-bearing trees in the farm---durian, marang, breadfruit, lanzones, papaya, cacao, rambutan. Ling even bought his favorite durian for dessert! Yum! After lunch, it was time to lounge in the pool. Father and daughter had it all to themselves while I enjoyed the cool afternoon breeze. There is also a playground in front of our cabin so the kiddo crossed the bridge/obstacle rope course to her heart’s content. By the way, Phillip's Sanctuary has its own cafe where we ordered our meals for a hassle-free overnight stay.
One thing I loved about the place is its weak cellphone signal and wi-fi connectivity. The weekend not only rested our minds and bodies but also our attachment to gadgets. Afternoon and early morning walks with the fam had never been this good!

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
