Anilao, Batangas: 14th Anniv Dive

I’ve read somewhere that there are two places we need to go often: a place that heals and a place that inspires. So, to celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary on the last weekend of November 2024, it’s about time to return to our diving respite. I booked our dives with Blue Ribbon Dive Resort in Anilao, Batangas. From Sabang, Puerto Galera, the resort found its new home in Anilao. Their sea view room for two, with breakfast, costing P5,750 is perfect for this special trip. Plus a 3-dive package pegged at P5,200 per pax. Additional fun dives are at P1,800 per dive.

During our stay, we did a total of four dives (particularly in Secret Bay, Koala, Miniloc and Daryl Laut dive sites). This is my 4th dive trip this year---all spent in Anilao as it is closest to the metro. Ling and I weren’t really expecting much for our 14th anniv celebration but our dives gave us otherwise. Underwater surprises were non-stop. Imagine seeing a blenny, a green sea turtle, a cuttlefish, frogfishes, pink-eyed gobies and tons of nudibranchs all to our fancy.

The highlights of our dives? I was finally able to photograph the Miamira Alleni after this year’s countless (search) attempts. Oh yes, I was also able to snap a photo of a frogfish while yawning! Enjoy viewing!

About Mona
