Whoever said that pregnant women couldn't have as much fun surely don't have friends as game as mine. I was six months pregnant when our trip to Borawan pushed through in 2011 with the hubby and my Sumasabog na Kalan or SNK friends. We availed the P650/person tour package of the island. It is inclusive of boat rental for island hopping, resort entrance, three meals and cottage fee. The total cost of the trip didn't exceed P1,600/pax, inclusive of roundtrip van transportation from Quezon City to Pagbilao, Quezon and room accommodation in Villa Anita Butterfly Garden and Resort. We were thirteen in the group so the cost got predictably cheaper.
Land travel going to Padre Burgos in Quezon was 4 to 5 hours long. We checked into Villa Anita after having lunch in a nearby restaurant. There is a swimming pool in the picturesque resort so we just chilled and bonded the rest of the day. Despite the long haul trip, hanging out with friends totally made up for it.
We were scheduled to go to Borawan Island via boat by 7:30 am the following day. The island's name is a blend of two words---Boracay and Palawan. It is likened to Bora's white sand beach and Palawan's stunning rock formations. And so, is it worthy to be compared to these destinations? We were beyond fortunate to see the unspoiled beach of Borawan back then. The rock formations were simply majestic and we had the island all to ourselves. The hubby even tried rock climbing while the preggy me took unli snaps of our laid-back adventure.

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
My camera skills and knowledge are still a work in progress. Enjoy browsin’!
