It was a spontaneous weekend getaway after our daughter’s left arm cast has finally been removed. Her left arm has been placed in a cast for more than a month due to fracture. And though it will still take some therapy to improve her left arm’s movement, there’s nothing a visit to the beach can’t uplift. So our family headed down south and checked into Maeb Beach Resort in Sariaya, Quezon. Land travel to Sariaya from San Pedro, Laguna took us more than two hours. The overnight room rate in Maeb is P3,500, good for 5-6 pax and already inclusive of cottage use. We bought freshly caught fish from local fishermen and grilled it for our lunch and dinner. Guests are free to use the resort's grill and gas for cooking needs.
The Quezon Eco-Tourism Road is lined up with several beach resorts you can check out. Maeb is just beside the popularly known Paraiso and Dalampasigan Beach Resorts. Our daughter, albeit with stiff left arm movement, totally enjoyed playing in the sand and swam all day long. She most especially loved finding crabs and shells along the shoreline. Seeing her blissful smile while in our happy place didn’t only ease our minds of pandemic worries but also reassured our family that everything is but fleeting and will surely pass, in God’s perfect time.

RT-PCR/antigen tests and medical certificates aren't required. There was no needed travel pass too as we didn't see any checkpoints along the way.

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
