Oh, how time flies. Our bundle of joy has turned 12 last May 2023. To celebrate this milestone, we booked a pre-birthday stay with Ybonita Farm in Calatagan, Batangas. It has long been in our family’s must-try farm stays. For the cost of P6,900, we spent a very relaxing weekend in Caceres Villa. The rate is inclusive of breakfast and I also ordered a special dinner for the birthday celebrant.
Calatagan, Batangas is a 3 to 4-hour drive from the metro. Ybonita is a family-run farm covering more than two hectares. Nestled in the midst of grasslands, the farm’s villas are nipa-hut inspired and ideal for a calming weekend getaway.
Upon arrival, we took our time walking around the compound to soak in the nature feels of the place. The flowers and the fruit-bearing trees added to its chill vibe. The kiddo relished feeding the goats in the east side of the farm. There were also horses roaming freely.
The celebrant didn't know she was in for a pre-birthday surprise during dinner. Kudos to Ybonita for prepping the secret garden all to our fam’s liking. There was a simple birthday banner and our pre-ordered luscious chocolate cake. The kiddo’s priceless smile after our smores bonfire said everything we needed to know. The finale to our memorable stay was to enjoy the dipping pool the morning after.

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
