It was a long overdue dive in El Nido, Palawan by early March 2019 especially after a failed attempt due to bad weather 5 years ago. Unlike our first trip to the island which usually takes 6 hours of land travel from Puerto Princesa, we took the Clark-San Vicente, Palawan route this time around. From San Vicente airport, land travel is roughly just around 2 hours. One-way van transfer is pegged at P500 per person. You can book the van transfer ahead of time (thru John Vicente Sy at 09985775008) or you can simply avail of the vans parked in front of the airport.
We booked our dive with Aquanaut Dive Center at the rate of P4,400 per person inclusive of 3 dives, lunch and equipment rental. Looking for dive shops or guided travel and tours is quite easy in El Nido town proper as they're all lined up along Calle Hama. We scheduled our dive on the second day of the trip. I couldn't get over the excitement of resuming our unfinished business since 2014.
The first dive in North Entalula was all about macro. We then went wide for the two remaining dives of the day. The second dive at South Miniloc dive site featured the school of yellow snapper fish. They were one helluva crazy lot! We also saw a green sea turtle chowing on a jelly fish in the shallow area. Our last dive was at North Rock. The reef was teeming with amazing corals. There were also a handful of jacks. A moray and blue ribbon eels. Though really not my forte, I was happy to get reunited with my wide-angle setup. Enjoy viewing!

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
My camera skills and knowledge are still a work in progress. Enjoy browsin’!
