San Vicente, Palawan
Going to San Vicente, Palawan wasn't part of the itinerary when I went to El Nido, Palawan with Ling, Sid and Tina in July 2014. We didn't expect the weather to be that bad in El Nido which pushed us to change our plans altogether.
Instead of staying in El Nido on our 3rd day, we opted to head out to San Vicente, 1 hour and 30 minutes away via van. We alighted in Itabiak Crossing/Junction. However, since local buses and vans pass every 2-3 hours, we decided to ride a habal-habal going to Long Beach worth P500/motorcycle. It was one helluva bumpy ride but passing by views of rice fields, walking students and locals made up for it.
We checked into Picardal Lodge, a referral from a fellow tourist in El Nido. Standard fan room rate starts at P400/night. After settling in, we rode a tricycle going to Long Beach. Lo and behold, we had the long stretch all to ourselves! We walked back and forth until our feet ached. Dipped our restless bodies in the welcoming waves. The sand even took a remembrance from Sid---his wedding ring! Sure, we tried finding it but I guess it was San Vicente's playful, welcoming scheme.
For dinner, had one of the best pizzas I ever tasted from Foxy's Pizza and Pasta Place. Don't miss it for dear life!

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
