When direct flights going to San Vicente, Palawan (from Clark, Pampanga) was launched in October 2018, Ling and I knew we had to return to San Vicente after our spontaneous trip way back July 2014. We’ve scheduled our trip early March 2019 as we’ve learned our lesson not to book flights during the rainy season of June-July so as to avoid cancelled island hopping plans.
Ling and I spent the first 3 days of our trip in El Nido, Palawan so as to resume our diving and island hopping plan 5 years ago. We then booked our van transfer back to San Vicente around 5:30 pm on our third day. Land travel from El Nido to San Vicente is roughly just around 2 hours. One-way van transfer is pegged at P500 per person. You can book the van transfer thru John Vicente Sy at 09985775008.
We booked our stay at Victoria Beach House in Barangay Alimanguan. Standard double room rate is P1,500 inclusive of breakfast buffet for 2. The beachfront view of the resort clinched the deal for me. The 14.7-kilometer Long Beach is easily accessible from the resort. Ling and I enjoyed our coffees and beers on the resort’s beachfront marveling at the incomparable San Vicente view. The laid-back vibe in San Vicente was certainly what brought us back.
What made our return even more memorable was the island hopping tour. There are two island hopping tours available namely the P1,850/pax Port Barton package and the P1,650/pax San Vicente package, both inclusive of environmental fee and lunch. We booked the latter through our resort. We were able to visit the Exotic Island where we saw harmless, non-stinging jellyfish, the Inaladelan Island where we had lunch, the turtle beach where we saw two pawikans, Twin reef where we snorkeled our hearts out, the splendid sandbar and lastly, Bigaho falls. If you're looking for white sand beaches, you're in for a great treat in San Vicente. Also, don’t miss the sunset view along Long Beach! It's simply one of the best!
On our last day, Ling and I decided to explore Long Beach by kayaking. We rented it at the resort for P500/hour. Aside from being an amazing upper body workout, the overwhelming view while kayaking made us appreciate San Vicente, Palawan more. I hope it won’t take us another 5 years to return to this paradise.

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
My camera skills and knowledge are still a work in progress. Enjoy browsin’!
