Bunker Dive Resort

My first three dives for 2017 turned out to be one of the most memorable. All thanks to Bunker Dive Resort in Bauan, Batangas, a resort owned by JR Faustino, a fellow diver friend.

It was a totally unplanned dive trip. A first for Ling and me. No reservations made as we just went ahead on impulse...an easy-breezy drive from north to south on the third weekend of January. Just contacted Bunker upon our arrival in San Luis, Batangas. And though fully booked over the weekend, we were (thankfully) still accommodated. The resort is only a 15-minute boat ride away from San Luis.

We were given a newly furnished room with a makeshift bed. More than anything, I loved the overlooking view. Room rate is pegged at P1,500/person inclusive of three meals and round-trip boat transfer. As we have brought our own dive equipment, scuba tank rental remains the only additional cost at P250/dive. Certainly a perfect match for scu’barats’ or cost-conscious divers like me! =)

It was indeed good to be back after a year. Did three house reef dives and our macro (photography) heart were beyond satisfied. Will definitely be back to see those school of jacks!

About Mona
