Balai Resort, Batangas

Balai Resort in Anilao, Batangas had been our go-to place whenever we wanted a weekender dive trip near the metro. It was consequently after my dive buddy, Gemmie Choa, and I became certified divers in August 2010. We enjoyed quite a number of overnight stays there. The food was sumptuously good and the rooms overlook the vast ocean. I can still vividly remember those nights we spent playing board or card games in the resort's balcony...with the waves as our ambient hymn. Just the perfect vibe for a weekend escape from urban life.

We usually do 3-4 dives during our visits. As my husband wasn't a certified diver then, Gemmie and my usual dive rate was at P1,300 inclusive of P100/person dive pass per day. The accommodation is pegged at P2,600-P2,700 for an aircon, triple sharing room. Sadly though, the resort has officially closed last August 2017.=(
