Anilao, Batangas: 2023 Opening Dive

Started 2023 right by scheduling a dive trip before the month of January concluded. Sadly, we haven’t had any dives for the whole year of 2022. This year, I’m back with a vengeance to finally level up my 350 dives (and counting)!

We booked our stay with none other than Anilao Boarding House. The resort’s beachfront view room was all Ling and I needed for a weekender breather. Overnight rate is at P2,500 and we were also able to tag our freediver daughter along. Aside from diving, our fam of three also did some kayaking to max out our stay.

It was indeed great to be back and we were welcomed with some cute nudibranch surprise on our first dive. We also did a night dive where we saw an emperor shrimp, some crabs and yet another nudi. Though the water temperature was playing between 25-27 degrees celsius, the biting cold didn’t stop us from enjoying our 3 dives. I went wide on our last and was simply beyond thankful to finally return to our underwater home. Enjoy viewing!
