Anilao, Batangas: 2016 Christmas Dive

My husband knows me so well that he no longer bothers with gifts during the holidays. Christmas came 5 days early this 2016 as we spent it in Anilao, Batangas doing something we both love: diving!

4 out of 6 dives were spent seeing larger than life critters that have long been on my dive bucket list. It was my first time to knowingly see a hairy shrimp with eggs! It was shown to me years ago but the memory was just so vague. This time though, I spent an entire dive just photographing it to the point of my camera getting low bat. Still thankful that I had one lucky snap of a juvenile frogfish also seen on the same dive.;P

Another wish granted when I saw a pregnant goby guarding its eggs. The gifts kept coming underwater as I also saw a huge seahorse, a pygmy seahorse, a juvenile cuttlefish, a pair of emperor shrimps and some pipefish. Merry Christmas indeed!
