After our Sta. Elena Fun Farm visit in Cabuyao, Laguna last June 2019, I have been on the lookout for petting farms where I can bring my 8-year-old daughter, Xandy. She’s still on vacation by early July 2019. I was looking for easily accessible destinations from Quezon City and Numana Farm in Angat, Bulacan stood out. Booking an overnight room is through Airbnb. Seeing photos of the Kubo clinched the deal for me. The modernized bahay kubo-inspired place was just so distinctive. When I showed Xandy the setup of the bed which included an artsy kulambo or mosquito net, she was all wowowow. That’s when I knew we had to book it as soon as possible, even though the rainy season is upon us.
Overnight rate of the Kubo for two adults and one child is P2821.37. Room rates vary depending on the number of persons in the group. The host, Amy, was very gracious in answering my queries. I perfectly timed our stay on a weekday so there’s low or zero chance of co-sharing the place. And we pushed through with our booking despite experiencing heavy rains in the past days. We left Quezon City past 10 in the morning. Travel time to Angat, Bulacan took us almost 2 hours. We arrived at Numana Farm by lunchtime. There’s no in-house resto in the farm so you need to bring your own food. We brought packed lunch so we ate ours while appreciating the peaceful view around us. After days of non-stop rain, Mr. Sun thankfully showed his full glory!
Amy allowed us to settle in the Kubo by 1 pm and it was just as great as we expected. The overlooking view on the room’s balcony was simply breathtaking. The first thing Xandy did upon entering the room was to go inside the artsy kulambo. I brought her drawing materials along because I knew such view would upstart her creative juices. And yes, I wasn’t disappointed and her drawing was superb!
After appreciating the overlooking view over afternoon coffee, we let Xandy enjoy feeding the rabbits, chickens and koi fishes in the farm. Don’t miss their IG-worthy butterfly and flower gardens! We then visited Hound Haven, which is also on the same compound. Entrance fee is P100/head. It houses retired military service dogs in the country. At 8-yo, Xandy’s a natural in interacting with dogs just like her dad. It was extraordinary seeing her touch the dogs all hungry for an owner’s love and affection. If only we have enough space at home, we could have adopted one. =l
One thing we also loved about Numana was its spacious outdoor playground where we enjoyed countless badminton games. Xandy didn’t stop practicing until she was able to perfectly serve (the shuttlecock). Other outdoor and board games are also available in the premises so you will never go out of things to do...just like we did.
As of 2020, Numana Farm stopped its operations. Hoping it'll open its doors to the public again in the near future.

Certified as a PADI rescue diver. Got my first compact camera in 2011. I was simply content then to just capture a glimpse of what I see during my dives. It was only last February 2014 that I fully maximized the use of manual macro settings.
My camera skills and knowledge are still a work in progress. Enjoy browsin’!
