San Miguel, Bulacan: The Cabin

It was a special trip planned in time for 2023’s pre-Valentine’s Day weekend. We booked our stay with The Cabin Resorts in San Miguel, Bulacan, which made a buzz online since its reopening way back October 2019. Their Deluxe Cabin costing P9,000---good for 2-3 pax and inclusive of breakfast plus tons of free activities for the whole fam---clinched the deal for us.
From Quezon City, it took us almost two hours to reach the scenic compound. Though not as spacious, our cabin was just as picture-perfect as it seemed online. We took our time lounging by the veranda and enjoying our coffee with a view before trying out some of the activities. Our 11-year-old tried her hand at biking again. The kiddo also couldn’t contain her excitement to interact with the ducks in the man-made lake. Ling took the reins kayaking while we soaked in the view and the lingering ducks. We spent the rest of the day swimming in the infinity and sunset pools. The rice field view all around us was simply breathtaking. And yes, the sunset! Whatta relaxing sight.
We then tried archery the following day. A first for each of us. It took us several tries before finally hitting near the target and...the yellow-centered goal. Yay for small wins! Enjoy viewing!
