Moalboal, Cebu: Surprisingly Amazing Reefs

After reaching 195 dives in the middle of July 2015, I thought of planning a special trip for my 200th dive. And the place that first came to mind was Moalboal in Cebu. It has been in my dive bucket list for ages, especially after going to Malapascua in 2012.

Booked 5 dives with Ocean Safari Philippines also known as Nelson’s Scuba Diving School. We opted to dive there as it is the only Filipino-owned dive shop in the Panagsama area. It is owned and operated by the incumbent Vice Mayor of Moalboal, Nelson Abenido. We planned to bring our dive equipment but changed our mind to avoid the hassle as we were only taking the bus. Rates per dive are the same per dive shop at P1,200. The dive rate could have been P300 cheaper if we brought our dive equipment though.

Did 4 wall dives---in Pescador Island, Cathedral, Talisay Point and Tongo Point. The coral reefs were breathtakingly amazing. Was really quite surprised to see how well preserved the reefs are, especially in Pescador Island. See also Moalboal, Cebu: Home of Gazillion Sardines, Moalboal, Cebu.
