Anilao, Batangas: 2024 Opening Dive

There’s really no better way to start the year than doing things we love. After hiking up north, Ling and I planned a diving weekend down south before January concluded. And yes, we also brought our free diver kiddo along.

We booked our stay with none other than Anilao Boarding House. The resort’s beachfront view room is simply irresistible with an overnight rate pegged at P2,500. Aside from diving, we also rented a boat worth P4,500 for some free diving fun for the whole fam.

Ling and I did two shore entry dives with the resort’s co-owner and resident dive master, Stuey. The biting cold sure didn’t stop our macro hunt underwater. We saw some itsy bitsy nudibranchs, several pink-eyed gobies, moray eels and several shrimps. Two green sea turtles also surprised us on our last dive. Oh, what a joy to be back. Enjoy viewing!

About Mona
